I wish you a very warm welcome to Hankham Primary School's website.

Hankham Primary School is situated in a delightful rural setting close to Eastbourne and Hailsham.  The school caters for children aged 4 to 11 years of age and currently has 146 pupils on roll. It was opened in 1879 and throughout its long history the school has preserved the best traditions of a small village primary school whilst providing a carefully planned curriculum essential to the ever-changing needs of today's children.

Hankham Primary School consists of five mixed year group classes. As well as five classrooms, the school has a large purpose-built hall and a good-sized library. The school also has a playground, a large playing field, an enclosed pond area and clear views of the South Downs.  Moreover, the Foundation Stage classroom leads out onto a stimulating outdoor learning area.

If you are interested in Hankham Primary School for your child, I would be very happy to show you around so you can see the school in action.  Please contact Mrs Sue Ripley in the school office to arrange your visit.
