Governors’ Written Statement of Behaviour Principles

February 2025

Our ethos and guiding principles with respect to pupil behaviour are as follows:

  • Every pupil has the right to feel safe, valued and respected and to learn in an environment free from disruptions.
  • Expectations for good behaviour are high and good behaviour will be modelled by staff and Governors.
  • The behaviour policy is clear to pupils, parents,Governors and staff alike and is consistently and fairly applied.
  • The approach to behaviour issues is grounded in the School’s Therapeutic Thinking approach.
  • Pupils are helped to take responsibility for their actions and given strategies not to repeat antisocial behaviour.
  • There is no room for discriminatory, bullying or antisocial behaviour.
